Gabrovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GBCCI) is a non-for-profit non-government organization. The membership within the Chamber is voluntarily. Currently the Chamber has 134 regular and 1000 associated members, mainly SMEs. GbCCI is partner of the state institutions in the improvement of the legislation – it submits the governmental bodies with its members’ opinion on draft laws, develops proposals for their improvement and it facilitates its members’ foreign trade activities and does research activities and surveys related to its members’ interests and needs. The Chamber’s training department organizes vocational training and re-training for the improvement of the qualification of its members’ employees and unemployed from the area, organizes short-term workshops and seminars for life-long learning, etc. The Chamber works in close cooperation with labour offices, local and national authorities, and social partners. GBCCI is involved in a number of national and EU projects.
